About this service

Conditions we treat:

  • Snoring
  • Sleep apnoea (Obstructive and Central)
  • Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome.
  • Excessive sleepiness
  • Narcolepsy and Cataplexy
  • Movement Disorders in Sleep
  • Restless Legs and Periodic Limb Movement
  • Parasomnias (Sleepwalking and Non-REM Sleep Disorder)
  • Circadian Rhythm Disorders (shift work and sleep phase disorders)
  • Insomnia with excessive sleepiness.

Our state-of-the-art eight bed sleep unit opened in 2012.

We are able to provide individual en-suite in-patient facilities for complex sleep study investigations, including four polysomnography beds to allow sleep staging by electroencephalogram and video recording.

Sleep studies for sleep breathing disorders are usually carried out at home using simpler portable equipment to measure breathing patterns and oxygen levels during sleep.
