Where are we based?

We have a range of clinical locations across the region. Please see below for detailed travel information and directions. If you need to rearrange or cancel your appointment please do not contact your clinic location directly as they will be unable to help you. Instead, please contact us on the number above.

Reminder: at your appointment you will have drops put in your eyes which will blur your vision. We strongly advise that you do not drive a car for approximately two to four hours after your appointment.

Litherland Town Hall Health Centre

We are situated at the Hatton Hill Road entrance. Please report to the reception desk. If no receptionist is present, please proceed directly to the screening location. If you do not know where to go, please ask a member of staff on the oval desk at the bottom of the ramp. Access to our clinic is not possible via the Walk-in Centre entrance.

From main entrance (Car Park A)

From the main hospital entrance follow the signs for BICKERSTAFFE HOUSE all the way down the main corridor.  You will pass the restaurant to your left and go through a set of double doors to the external corridor.  Keep straight ahead passing the sign for ‘BICKERSTAFFE RECEPTION 2’ as there is no access from this entrance.  Follow the yellow signs for DIABETIC EYE SCREENING.  As directed to your left exit the corridor and follow the path outside and you will arrive to the entrance for BICKERSTAFFE HOUSE.   Press button (3) to speak with a member of staff to gain access to the building.

From other entrance (Car Park B)

Enter the external hospital corridor next to the EDUCATION CENTRE through the double doors and follow the signs for DIABETIC EYE SCREENING.   You will shortly see a door to your right – follow the path outside and you will arrive to the entrance for BICKERSTAFFE HOUSE.   Press button (3 ) to speak with a member of staff to gain access to the building.

Useful information

There is a drop off facility outside BICKERSTAFFE HOUSE if arriving by car (20 minutes free access in the  hospital car park) and also two disabled parking spaces for longer stay.

There is a lift/staircase access to the 2nd floor for the Diabetic Eye Screening/Diabetes Centre.

Please enter the building via the side entrance behind A&E (on the Scarisbrick New Road side of the building). Our clinic is at location 12 on the above map. Please follow signposts to “ENT and Eyes.”
