1. What hours will I be working?

You will be working 37.5 hours a week and as the hospital runs a service 365 days a year and is open 24 hours a day your role may require you to work shifts and weekends.

  1. Where will I be working?

The majority of our apprentices will work at Aintree Hospital however there may be a requirement to work offsite as part of your role however you will be supported in this as you learn your role. Details will be provided on individual job adverts.

  1. How much holiday will I be entitled to?

You will be entitled to 27 days annual leave per year plus any additional annual holidays that occur. Annual leave is agreed with your Line Manager to ensure that patient care is covered and that the correct skill mix is available at all times.

  1. How will I complete my apprenticeship qualification?

You will be enrolled on an appropriate apprenticeship for your role and you will attend classroom sessions or 1-1 delivery with a tutor. There will be written assignments, observations and portfolio building in addition to a final assessment to evidence your competence.

  1. How will I be supported?

Apprentice will be supported by their manager and a buddy in their department as well as their college tutor. If you have any additional needs these will be assed and appropriate additional support provided.
