All our members are equal, but the Trust recognises that some members may wish to become more involved in the life of our NHS Foundation Trust.
Members have a number of opportunities to get involved but one of the main ways involved is to put yourself forward to stand for election to our Council of Governors.
The Trust is keen to represent all areas of the community and our workforce on our Council of Governors, and welcomes interest from anyone within our Public and Staff Member Constituencies.
In order to stand for election as a Governor, you do need to be a member and aged 16 years or over. However, you do not need specific qualifications for the role, other than an interest in healthcare and a commitment to representing your constituents to the best of your ability.
We provide a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training for our Council of Governors.
For further information, please contact the Corporate Governance Team (contact details below).
We are committed to establishing a truly representative membership and welcome Members and Governors from all backgrounds, religions, beliefs, race, colour, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, age, social or economic status or national origin.
If you are not currently a Member and are interested in standing for election as a Governor, please download and complete the Foundation Trust membership form, available below, or contact the Corporate Governance Team for a paper form:
