Mr Peterson graduated from Liverpool University and spent time working in Australia before returning to join the Mersey trauma and orthopaedic rotation.

Mr Peterson graduated from Liverpool University and spent time working in Australia before returning to join the Mersey trauma and orthopaedic rotation. 

His specialist interest is limb reconstruction surgery and after completing his training in Liverpool he  visited units in the USA, South Africa and Japan.

Mr Peterson also works at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and has experience in the treatment of congenital and acquired conditions affecting the upper and lower limbs in children and adults.

His practice includes the use of internal and external devices for deformity correction including limb lengthening with magnetic intramedullary nails. 

Along with his colleagues in the limb reconstruction department he offers treatment of nonunions, posttraumatic deformities and bone infections. Mr Peterson also offers treatment for knee and ankle arthritis.
