Please help us to stop the spread of the winter vomiting bug.

Norovirus is currently circulating in the community and we are starting to see cases on our wards.

We are urging all visitors and outpatients who have had vomiting or diarrhoea within the last 48 hours not to visit the hospital.

These bugs can quickly pass between visitors, patients and staff and can have serious effect on those who are already poorly, particularly older people or those who have long-term health conditions.

Please remember, when visiting patients; please wash your hands in the hand basin outside each ward.

Wards affected by Norovirus will restrict visitors to two per bed.

If you are ill, symptoms such as sickness and diarrhoea are best treated by staying at home, drinking plenty of fluids and getting some rest.
